First, the Grey Knights

I have an embarrassing number of metal miniatures, nearly all released in the period 1994 to 2004.  They include Guard, Sisters of Battle and a few Grey Knights.  The collection of models is intended to represent the forces available to an Inquisitor.

From White Dwarf 280 (2003):

The Grey Knights were sculpted by Aly Morrison, while the terminators were done by Jes Goodwin.
Why the Grey Knights (who are supposed to be 7 foot tall) are the same size as a human (see Tallarn figure below) while the terminator (the same 7 foot tall space marine in bulkier armour) is 25% taller is not clear.
I will be using the scheme used to good effect by TheApatheticFish on YouTube so to start I am base coating the primed models with Leadbelcher and Rhinox Hide on the bases.

As you might guess, this blog is more therapy for me rather than me communicating to the world. So the following list of links is as more for me than for anybody who randomly chances upon it.

The following are forums I have visited and occasionally tried to add my wit and wisdom, often to not much effect. The name I log on to the forum as is in square brackets. In order of most frequented:

Why this blog?

Re-enact my youth? Re-treat from reality for a little? Think about something else other than impending financial doom?

Probably a bit of all of these.

I previously had a blog here where I had set myself the mission is to collect and paint an army of Warhammer 40k miniatures. I must admit that the hobby became buying metal miniatures on ebay with very little painting.

Let's try again and just see how it goes.
