Bolt Action British 8th Army

 I was given the Starter Army for Christmas, and I acquired a cheap second box with a complimentary Allied sprue from somewhere.  I have assembled the plastic models as follows:

4 x Officers

5 x Squad leaders with SMG

5 x Bren teams

6 x 2inch mortar teams

5 x anti-tank rifles

35 x riflemen

4 x Universal (Bren) carriers

This leaves the metal based models to be assembled (Bren carrier crew; 2 x MMG teams; 2 x 25pounder gun teams; 2 x 5pounder anti-tank gun teams; 2 x medium mortar teams).

They are based in a similar fashion to the Tallarn:  the models are raised above the base using a 1mm plastic rod.  Model railway ballast (fine only) is attached to the base using first plastic cement and then watered down PVA glue.  Pictures to follow ....
